HC Harrison Consultants is a small business that provides the general public, businesses and all levels of government with advice about how to provide equitable access within and around the built environment as well as staff development in the area of Disability Awareness. The business has been in existence for 17 years, which would make it one of the first businesses within South Australia to provide these types of services. As SA’s first business concerned with providing advice on accessibility and delivering disability related training we celebrate 20 years of success in 2008!
Want good advice?
Getting the right advice and understanding equity and how it affects design as well as furniture and fitments is critical to the success of accessibility in both new and existing building projects. Trevor and Jill will become valued members of project teams providing basic principles of access design, auditing drawings against appropriate standards for accessibility; we can do on-site checks and can assist with accessible public consultations processes.
Ever wondered why equity is so difficult to achieve?
HC Harrison Consultants deliver training to tradespeople ‘on the job’, as well as to local and state government managers and their staff. Employment agencies, non-government agencies across the mental health, disability, arts, advocacy and consumer movement can also contact us for ideas about experiencing, learning and training their members and workers in disability related issues.
